Lindsay, ON, July 23, 2004: Tech Electronic Services
has entered into agreements with Kiwi Systems, manufacturer
of Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) phones, and BIONIC Video Inc.,
manufacturer of CCTV cameras and security products. As
per the agreement, Tech will market and sell Kiwi’s
line of VOIP phones to a broad base of value-added resellers
(VARs) and consumer electronics dealers, and Bionic’s
full line of CCTV cameras and security equipment to VARs,
system integrators, security, and consumer electronics
dealers throughout Canada.
Kiwi Systems’ VOIP phones are equipped with a built-in
DSP chip, as well as a voice correcting chip, allowing
the phone to operate independent of the computer’s
hardware and sound card. It features exclusive bandwidth
compliment technology that, according to Tech, ensures
“superb voice transmission quality, even with dial-up
connections”.
The phones work with any Internet connection, and work
just like regular phones. Users have free, unlimited cals
to any other Tech VOIP phone worldwide, any time; and
can make and receive calls to any landline or cell phone.
BIONIC offers a full range of CCTV cameras and security
products for professional and consumer security applications,
including the EYESONIC brand line of professional-grade
CCTC cameras, digital video recorders (DVR), and a full
range of consumer-level CCTV products.
“It’s a perfect fit with many of our retail
partners,” stated Dawn Branton, CEO, Tech Electronic
Services. “Our retail channel already has the technical
expertise and experience to provide professional security
equipment to the consumer market. The addition of digital
video recorders and cameras is not necessarily a diversification
of our product lines, but rather compliments our growing
market in CE.”
“We are very pleased to announce that Tech Electronic
Services has joined our growing family of distribution
partners,” added Elmer Ventura, President of BIONIC.
“The convergence of security and consumer electronics
continues to grow at a phenomenal rate. With established
market verticals in CE, and the growing need for security
products provided by qualified IT professionals, this
arrangement represents a huge opportunity for Canadian
retailers.”
